As I was reading some articles on ai, photography, and the emotional response to an image, I came across a person from Stanford doing similar research. In his acknowledgement there was the name of another researcher from Stanford whose research focus is a thing called alexithymia.

This is the first time I came across the word. Wiki explains it as "emotional blindness", basically a neuropsychological phenomenon characterised by not being able to process or describe one's emotions.
