When the wheel was invented it was perhaps the peak of technology at that period of time. Perhaps subjects were taught to explain students about friction, stability and efficiency. Today computers are an equivalent, and so is artificial intelligence. Calling it modern defies the value of modernity the invention of wheel brought to the world.
Technology is not modernity. Technology and tools are as old as humans. The wheel is in fact as extraordinary as a computer. Cooking is as revolutionary ads creating computer programs.
