Writing. Is that art? Yes it is.

Every single time I have thought of printing a photograph in a Hahnemuhle Paper, my bank balance has slapped me on my face. 

Every time I have thought of making a film, I have wondered how to even pay for the food and travel of the crew. 

Every time I have tried to build an installation, the cost of the acrylic sheets have put me back to the bed.

I realise with time that it’s a different set of problems you face, when you are struggling to pay the rent and trying to pursue arts. 

It's the cost of the "medium".

Amidst this overthinking, my mind settles down, and chooses the pen, the cheapest medium I could have to express myself.

Born out of need, the medium has become my favourite. Though inexpensive, it’s powerful. Perhaps more powerful than a photograph, film or installation.

As I sit to write gathering every ounce of courage to be vulnerable and authentic, every word becomes my brush stroke, the notebook, my canvas. 

To quote ansel-adams When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence”
