fundamental definition of love

6th November, 2024

Three years ago, this day, it was a dawn, mostly dark, and I was confused, sad, and a bit angry and helpless as well. The vastness of the ocean in front of me was my only solace, rendering my worries insignificant in the large canvass of the universe. For fifteen minutes I spoke my heart out of what I felt and sent it to her. Looking back, I realise how courageous it was, to express what you feel. I stood there and took a photograph, IMG_1984 with my iPhone. That day, everything changed with that click. The definition of photography changed. The meaning of art changed. The understanding of love was getting restructured, shaken, broken, fluttering, deep, emotional, overwhelming, happiness inducing, with pangs of cravings, and a teenage ecstasy.

Today, three years later, the fundamental definition of love has again evolved, and restructured, and jumbled up and solved itself again. This time it’s more of belief, acceptance, destiny, calmness and trust. Eyes speaks they say, I see it in her eyes. I wonder if she also sees it in my eyes, the sparks. My friends say, they see it!

Anyway, I just wanted to send a hug to the Abodid who stood helplessly sad in the beach on the 6th of November, 2021. A tight hug to him, and kiss him on his cheeks and tell him that, it’s the beauty of life. How lucky that you can feel this, whatever you are feeling. Not everyone gets lucky in this one lifetime to feel this. I want to look into his eyes and tell him, look Abodid, your life is gonna change, and you gonna experience one of the best times of your life. I want to tell him to believe in timings, destiny, and something up there that we can’t see. It decides, it rolls the dice, sometimes thoughtfully, sometimes randomly, and that your job is to accept what it is and thank that it’s no worse, and work with whatever  means and wisdom you have to make things better.

I wish to tell him how privileged he is, not just financially, but also emotionally, of having parents who understand and support him! Not everyone is lucky to have that. I wish to tell him how much of love he is yet to receive, how  much of art he is yet to see, how much of art he is yet to make, how much of support he is yet to get.

May be it seemed like darkness that day, but I wish I told him there’s light at the end of the tunnel. And it’s important to keep walking, till you reach the other end.

Today as I am flying back to India, I want to hug London with lot of love, for the role she played in my life. I will forever be indebted to you london

And yes, can’t wait to meet you, spend some lovely time with you, and marry you!! Omg is this real!  Life’s crazy!!!

Love, Abodid

😘😘😘
