Technology informs narrative and art, but art informs and guides the development of technology.

 If we simply write hopeful, optimistic stories about technology, it's hard not to feel like a shill for the big businesses building this technology.

"Shill", means, a person who gives impartial endorsement about something which they themselves are very interested in.
