the research is already done | Obsidian Vault

I have always believed that research is never a linear path for me. It's always an interconnected web of thoughts, perhaps being built from years before I am even doing the actual so-called research. My Obsidian vault has been filled up with micro notes (aka atomic notes) with hundreds of ideas whenever I have come across a unique one.

Recently came across this article where the author says

When I sit down to write an article, the research is already done. It happened over the previous 2-3 years, one line at a time.

There are thousands of notes (marketing ideas in progress). So each article technically takes YEARS to write, if you count all the time I spend adding thoughts.

I totally resonate with him and I hope, in the next 1 or 2 years, my Obsidian vault will work the same way for me. This is because I have attached all my random ideas, curated collections, and anything interesting I come across (in fact, my physical world as well) to my Obsidian vault.
