More seriously, many of the skills likely to be valuable in the workplace are those that are hardest to acquire from a machine: watching other people, working alongside them, exercising judgement, building experience and developing interpersonal skills.
Underlying all three claims is the same mistake: confusing access to information with education.
You probably didn’t need me to point out that Silicon Valley’s preferred future is flawed. But if we want a better future, we need to challenge the assumptions shaping the one being built.
