How to Use This Page

Roadmap for Clients & Collaborators

If you plan to use, publish, exhibit, license, or monetize my photographs, please read in this order:

1. Credit & Ownership → Who must be credited and what never changes
2. Licensing & Usage Scope → What you are allowed to do with the images
3. Fees & Monetization → When payment is required and how pricing works
4. Use-Case Sections → Social, exhibitions, media, research, print sales
5. Ethics & Original Artists → Respect for collaborators and creators

If anything is unclear, usage must be discussed before publication.

Credits must be clear and visible (captions, tags, labels).

I do not transfer ownership of images. Usage is granted only through licensing.

2. Licensing Principles (How Usage Is Defined)

• Non-exclusive licenses are offered by default.
• Exclusive or commercial use requires a contract and fee.
• Usage must be clearly defined by purpose, duration, and platform.
• Any use beyond the agreed scope requires additional permission.
• I do not grant open-ended, perpetual, or unrestricted usage without written agreement.

3. Fees & Monetization Overview

If an image generates revenue, promotes a brand, or is used beyond documentation, fees must be discussed.

4. Use-Case Guidelines

A. Online & Social Media

• Tag @abodid.sahoo on Instagram.
• Credit Abodid Sahoo in captions.
• Link to abodid.com if online.
• Tag on LinkedIn if applicable.

B. Exhibitions & Public Display

• Prior permission is mandatory for exhibition use.
• Fee varies by exhibition size.
• This is artistic collaboration, not event photography. Credit and exhibition materials must reflect this.

C. Books, Magazines & Media

• Full credit required.
• Discuss fees if monetized.
• Contributor bio appreciated.

D. Research & Academic Use

• Credit required.
• Contact me if a photo is key to research or patents.

E. Prints, Sales & Monetization

• Prints must be sold through me. No unauthorized sales.
• Be transparent. I would like to discuss the split of profits if you handle print and marketing.

5. Ethics, Fair Use & Respect for Original Artists

These photographs were taken at open public exhibitions where consent is generally implied. I respect the original artists and creators and:

• Do not misrepresent their work in my images.
• Encourage credit to original artists alongside my own.
• Am open to discussions or requests to remove images if someone expresses discomfort.

6. Working Together: What to Check

Before publishing, exhibiting, selling, or sharing my photographs, please confirm:

• Credit: Is my name displayed correctly and visibly?
• Usage Scope: Is the image being used only for the agreed purpose?
• Monetization: Is the work generating revenue or promotion? If yes, has a fee been agreed?
• Duration & Platforms: Is the usage limited to specific formats, channels, or timeframes?
• Artists & Ethics: Are original creators credited where appropriate?
